Finding and fixing - simultaneously
Traditionally, there have been long delays between discovering well integrity issues and undertaking remedial work. Now it is possible to find and fix simultaneously, restoring well integrity in just hours with our Platelet® barrier technology.
Our patented Platelets® are injected into wellheads or pumped thru-wellhead and down the well in our wellgel™ with the flow in the system. When they reach a leak, the pressure differential entrains them into it, creating a robust well barrier.
The Platelet® combination selected on site depends on the conditions within the well, such as pressure, temperature, fluid type and predicted leak geometry, as analysed by Telepath® software.
Platelets are adaptable for a variety of leak scenarios including; corrosion pitting, fitting failures and hairline cracks. Platelets® have been field-proven to temperatures from -40°C to 150°C and pressures up to 5000 psi.
In all instances, Platelets® are entirely inert and are therefore a low-risk solution, as they will have no negative effect on downhole infrastructure, completion equipment or the carrier fluid.
